June 7

1) Second portion of module 2 posted.

2) Quiz 2 has been scheduled for Thursday June 16th.

 

May 23

1)  The first portion of module 2 has been posted.

 

May 18

1)  Quiz 1 has been scheduled for May 31st.  Questions on the quiz will be largely based on your assignment questions, so be sure to complete the assignment.

2)  Office hours are now in place, prior to Thursday’s lecture.  Email if you are planning to attend so I know to show up. 

3)  Answers to the assignment will be provided late next week.  Use them to check your answers.

 

May 3rd

1)      Welcome to the course. Please check here for new announcements regularly. For messages of a more urgent nature, e-mails will be sent to the address you provided to UBC.

2)      First class will be May 10th.  Please read over the review material on Linear Circuits listed in the course outline in order to be prepared

3)      Regarding lecture slides:

a)      The slides provided were initially prepared by Dr. Turner, and Dr. Abolmaesumi, and have been modified by me.

b)      Slides will be posted online with links as they become available. Print them before coming to class and annotate them appropriately during class.

c)      Lecture notes for the first module are available online.

 

4)      Regarding assignments:

a)      There will be 4 assignments given out over the course of the term which correspond with each module.

b)      Assignments will not be graded, however I HIGHLY recommend that you keep up with them in order to pass the course.  Solutions for the assignments will be provided towards the end of each module.

 

5)      Regarding quizzes:

a)      There will be four quizzes, one per module, which will test your knowledge of the material.  These quizzes are worth 10% each.

 

6)      The Final exam makes up the remaining 60% and will take place sometime in early August. More information will follow about the format.

7)      If any graded component is missed, the student must provide a medical note explaining the absence, as soon as possible. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
